FREMANTLE PRISON - AN OVERVIEW

Decommissioned as a maximum-security gaol in 1991, the Prison was continuously applied as an area of incarceration for nearly a hundred and forty years.  With Demise row, solitary cells and gallows, it is a monument to the program of punishment that may be uncomfortably recent.The prison was administered by a comptroller normal, sheriff, or direc
